Artist Reception is Saturday, October 5th at the Madrid Theatre to kick off this year's Canoga Park Dia de los Muertos! The art show will stay up all month and if you happen to attend the big event on Sunday, November 3rd, you can view the artworks and visit me on the chalk block where I will be chalking up my painting into a chalk mural! Latino Comics Expo August 17-18 at Museum of Latin American Arts in Long Beach
The Latino Comics Expo Los Angeles will be held the weekend of August 17 & 18 at the Museum of Latin American Art. The event runs from 11am-5pm, both days. In addition to the exhibit hall featuring over 50 cartoonists, writers, illustrators, zine makers, book vendors and more, the Expo will feature 2 days of panels and children's workshops on Sunday.
MOLAA is located at 628 Alamitos Avenue, Long Beach, CA 90802. Admission to the Museum grants you entry to the Expo. General Admission is $9.00, Seniors and Students $6.00, FREE for MOLAA Members and Children under 12. Free Admission for all on Sunday! Stop by July 6th as we celebrate the life of Frida Kahlo all day long! Casita del Pueblo will be hosting three exciting events , beginning at 11 am until 9pm, in celebration of one of the worlds most influential artist. We will kick-off the morning with a free, children's art workshop from 11am-2pm, where we encourage our youth to find their inner artist! Next, we will host a jewelry designer trunk show by ilaments from 12-5pm. Finally, we will end the evening with our Annual Frida Art Exhibit from 6-9pm, where we will announce our Frida Costume Contest winner!
