Gwen a Mair ac Elin

"Gwen a Mair ac Elin"

Acrylic on Canvas

18"x24"

This is my latest painting that is based on a Welsh Nursery Rhyme

This is the English translation:

Gwen and Mair and Elin

Eating a lot of pudding,

And little Benja lost his temper

And cried a lot.

Little Ifan and me

Going to London on Mayday,

The wind is cold

It's better that we stay at home.

Little Ifan and me

Going to London on Mayday,

To take the cat to court

For drinking the morning milk.

Getting up very early,

Putting the rains on the brown mare,

Auntie Sian and Uncle Sion

Standing surprised in their socks.
